BART Earthquake Safety Program Outreach Meeting

Please join us for an evening of information on the upcoming construction contracts for the BART Earthquake Safety Program and information on the no-cost supportive services BART has available for small businesses. BART's ongoing efforts to include Small Business Enterprises (SBE's) in BART construction projects now include contract specific out-reach targeted towards SBE's in the BART market area and focused supportive services training. Technical services staff are/will be available to assist SBE's with preparing their businesses to work on BART Earthquake Safety Program construction projects and with meeting prime contractors.

Contractor Outreach for Prime Contractors, Sub-contractors, Small Businesses and DVBEs

Caltrans District 4 will be hosting its Quarterly Outreach Event on March 2, 2010 at the Harris State Building in Oakland from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Information will be provided on upcoming construction projects to be advertised within the next 4 months with an approximate cost of $1.3 billion.

Information will also be provided for the Clean Renewable Energy Bond Projects (CREB) to be advertised in the next couple of months. Seventy percent of the CREB Projects will be completed by July of this year. There are a total of 64 projects, some of which have already been awarded. Their cost ranges from $32,000 to $1,320,000.

This outreach is targeted for construction and electrician contractors, if you are interested in attending please RSVP by Feb. 22, 2010. This attachment contains all the specifics.
